World Record Summit and AEG Bring Inaugural Multi-Dimensional Action Sports Event to The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA on April 17, 2011

Home Depot Center News

Los Angeles, CA – October 28. The first-ever World Record Summit (WRS) (www.worldrecordsummit.com) a celebration of music, celebrity and action sports world records, will take place April 17, 2011 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California, it was jointly announced by AEG and World Record Summit, LLC, who have partnered to present the event. This multi-dimensional event allows internationally renowned action sports athletes the opportunity to conceive, design and execute a world record in their individual disciplines, and presents this live show in a music-fueled, celebrity-driven festival presentation simulcast to domestic pay-per-view audiences and international Internet viewers. Tickets to the event will go on sale in early 2011.

Event co-creators Andy Dylan and Scott Moore have put together an all-star team of advisors for WRS including Business Affairs Advisor and Production Attorney Lee Kolligian, a former sports agent who represented superstars such as Muhammad Ali, Keyshawn Johnson and Sugar Shane Mosely, among many others, Grammy-winning and Oscar-nominated music producer Glen Ballard, who will produce original work and advise on the WRS music lineup, and The Sexton Company (www.sextonco.com) whose partners, Tim Sexton and Matt Walden will bring their extensive pop-culture, event and movement-building expertise to the project, as well as providing “green” strategy and implementation services. Anchoring the team is 30-year Hollywood veteran executive Jim Wiatt, who has guided the project in an advisory role since its inception.

Day-of-show festivities include two hours of fan interaction with celebrities, athlete safety clinics, autograph signings, live music and more prior to the 2-hour PPV event. Immediately following the main event is a VIP after party and an environmentally-themed benefit concert.

“WRS as a property and an event will appeal strongly to a demo that also really cares about the environment. Giving the main musical event of the day an environmental theme and providing a fund-raising platform for this worthy cause shows that Scott and Andy really get it” said Sexton Company founding partner, Tim Sexton.

Dylan and Moore issued a joint statement on the unprecedented level of support for the new venture. “The advisory team at WRS is a collection of luminaries in the industry that we are very proud to have onboard. The expertise and passion they bring, coupled with the addition of AEG as a production partner, make WRS a new force in sports entertainment that will provide fans with the content they crave for years to come.”

“WRS has built a unique event, showcasing today’s action sports culture, combining elite athletes and competition with celebrities, music and entertainment ,” added Scott Hanley, Vice President, AEG Sports & Events. “AEG is looking forward to working with Dylan, Moore and their team as we make preparations for next year’s event at The Home Depot Center.”

WRS will announce the lineup of athletes scheduled to participate in the coming weeks, which promises to be a who’s who of the action sports world.
