USA Football Brings International Flag Football Competitions to Dignity Health Sports Park in June
– USA Football’s Summer Series features international youth and adult competitions with 2028 Olympics on the horizon –
– More than 750 athletes representing 10 countries compete at Dignity Health Sports Park, June 20-22
LOS ANGELES, CALIF. – USA Football, the sport’s National Governing Body responsible for selecting, training and leading the U.S. National Teams for international competition, including flag football’s Olympic debut in 2028, will bring a series of elite international events to Los Angeles. More than 750 athletes representing 10 countries will compete at Dignity Health Sports Park from June 20-22 as part of USA Football’s Summer Series, presented by Under Armour, turning Los Angeles into a global stage for the future of flag football.
As the sport’s first-ever official National Governing Body, USA Football oversees all aspects of American football in the U.S. USA Football plays a pivotal role in promoting the growth of flag and tackle football in the U.S. and worldwide through world-class competitive, educational and financial opportunities.
Summer Series will strengthen international flag football competition in preparation for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and beyond while celebrating the athletes, teams and nations shaping the future of the sport.

The Junior International Cup and Select Bowl, both presented by Under Armour, run from June 20-22 and June 21-22, respectively, followed by International Bowl from June 21-22. All events follow the International Federation of American Football’s (IFAF) 5-on-5 rules that will be used in the Olympics.

Competitions at USA Football’s Summer Series:
Junior International Cup, June 20-22
USA Football’s 15U and 17U U.S. Girls’ and Boy’s National Teams will compete in the fourth annual Junior International Cup against teams from Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Panama and South Korea. It will be the largest competition in the event’s history.
USA Football’s Junior National Teams recently completed a training camp at the Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center, the headquarters and training facility of the Minnesota Vikings in Eagan, Minn., from April 3-6. The week included international friendlies between the 17U U.S. Boys’ National Team and Israel’s 17U Boys’ National Team.
Select Bowl, June 20-21
The Select Bowl is part of USA Football’s National Team Development Program, which fields Select Teams across several age divisions.
U.S. National Team coaches and personnel will be present to evaluate and identify talent for invitations to U.S. National Team Trials in 2026. Select Teams compete within their age divisions for medals and a championship.
International Bowl, June 21-22
The week concludes with International Bowl from June 21-22, featuring the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams competing against various men’s and women’s teams representing Australia, Canada, Germany, Israel and Japan. These international friendlies will help the national teams prepare for competitions this summer, including when the women compete at The World Games 2025 in Chengdu, China and both teams defend their continental crowns at the 2025 IFAF Americas Continental Flag Football Championship.
