Dignity Health Sports Park to Host 10th Anniversary Women in Entertainment Luncheon Holiday Wonderland on Friday, Dec. 8

LOS ANGELES (Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023) – The sold-out 10th Anniversary Women in Entertainment Luncheon (Film, TV, Music, Sports, and Fashion) Winter Wonderland, presented by Coca Cola, the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, City National Bank, Corazón and McBride Sisters Collection, will take place on Friday, Dec. 8 during the holiday event at Dignity Health Sports Park as the top female executives in the entertainment industry and celebrity talent gather for a shopping, networking and empowering afternoon. The event is hosted by AEG’s ASCSC Foundation, the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music and Entertainment, Inc. (NABFEME Los Angeles) and Women Helping Women in Entertainment.

The Women in Entertainment Luncheon was created by AEG’s Dignity Health Sports Park Community Affairs and Foundation Senior Director Tamala Lewis and will feature a panel moderated by Pat Shields (Black Dot, LLC.) highlighting entertainment executives Bernardina Vargas (The La Fashion Magazine, CEO & Editor-In-Chief), Brieane Olson (CEO, PacSun), Christy Castillo Butcher (SVP, Sofi Stadium And Hollywood Park Programming), Dawnn Lewis (Grammy, BMI, ASCAP & NAACP Award Winning Singer/Songwriter/Actress), Donyell Kennedy-Mccullough (Revolt, SVP, Talent Relations & Casting), Johnnie Walker (Founder/CEO, NABFEME), Kiesha Nix (Los Angeles Lakers, VP Charitable Affairs & Lakers Youth Foundation) and Michele Kajiwara (AEG, SVP Sales, Premium & Event Services)

 
The event will also feature remarks by Dan Beckerman (President & CEO, AEG),  Katie Pandolfo (General Manager, Dignity Health Sports Park), Tamala Lewis (Senior Director Community Affairs & Foundation, Dignity Health Sports Park), Qiana Conley Akinro (Senior Executive Director, Recording Academy Los Angeles Chapter) and Nwaka Onwusa (The Hip Hop Museum). There will be a special recognition to “Inspiration Award” honorees  Tina Perry (President of OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network) and Earvin “Magic” Johnson (Chairman and CEO, Magic Johnson Enterprises) for their outstanding dedication for giving hope and inspiration to others. 

 

The event will also feature a special tribute to the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop with a Salute to the Women Hip Hop ‘90s Dancers with appearances from ‘90s Hip Hop dancers, including Str8 Ahead (Debra, Pluke, Nikita and Tee) and Mecca (Carolyn Brown, Merylin Mitchell, Shane Johnson-Bobb, Saleema Mubaarak, Tamala Lewis, Donielle Artese, Jossie Harris Thacker, Latisha “Tish” Oliver, Laurie Ann Gibson, Leslie Segar “Big Lez” and Tanika Ray). The LA Fashion Magazine had an incredible photo shoot on the weekend of Hip Hop’s Birthday on Aug. 13 with the ‘90s Hip Hop dancers and the magazine will debut at the Women in Entertainment Luncheon.

Dignity Health Sports Park has been an official U.S. Marines Toys for Tots Toy Drive community drop off location for 13 years and will be collecting unwrapped toys at this year’s event.
