Leading the list of countries scheduled to compete is Australia, a nation that captured eight medals, including five gold, in Athens. Other perennial powerhouses such as Great Britain, Germany, France, Spain, Japan, Russia and New Zealand will add to the Olympic-like atmosphere and further raise the level of competition and add depth to the field.

In addition to the exciting races, there will also by special guests appearances by Greg LeMond, three-time winner of The Tour de France, and Eric Heiden, five-time Olympic Gold Medallist (speed skating) and former US Professional Cycling Champion. Both are also accomplished track riders, with Lemond scheduled to appear at the event on Friday, December 10, and Heiden slated to be there on Saturday, December 11.
